Toka Leya Camp comprises 12 raised, spacious, en-suite safari style tents (including 3 family tents) with expansive views of the swift-flowing Zambezi River and several islands. Situated in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, just 12 km from Victoria Falls, the camp offers a comfortable base from which to enjoy an array of activities.

The dining, lounge and bar areas offer ample space for relaxation and are complemented by an infinity pool, with meals served on the sundeck, the pool deck and dining room all overlooking the Zambezi.

The 12 Tent interiors boast wooden flooring, tasteful African décor, climate-control, and an expansive shaded wooden deck from which to soak up the views. Family units are positioned to offer quiet seclusion.

The Main areas offer ample space for relaxation with meals served on the sundeck, the pool deck and dining room all overlooking the Zambezi. There is a novel pizza oven and a curio shop.

Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park offers good wildlife viewing for species such as buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, impala and white rhino. Hippo, crocodile and elephant are regularly seen in or along the Zambezi river, and prolific bird life includes resident African finfoot.

Committed to Wilderness Safaris’ 4Cs ethic, Toka Leya Camp contributes to various projects to support the local Zambian community and their conservation efforts.

Toka Leya Green Camp Systems:
Toka Leya has a number of systems in place that aim to rehabilitate indigenous flora in the area. This includes a greenhouse and nursery project to grow seedlings, an environmentally friendly waste-water treatment plant and a worm farm.

Zambia Camp Energy Saving Initiatives:
Wilderness Safaris’ Zambia camps, including Toka Leya Camp, pioneered the use of innovative energy-saving systems, which are being used as a model to lower the environmental footprint across the entire portfolio of Wilderness Safaris camps in all regions.

Cultural Community Visit
Community involvement is vital in the greater Livingstone area and one of Toka Leya’s projects is cultural visits to a nearby village. Projects are focused particularly on assisting children via schooling and income-generating activities. ‘Pack for a Purpose’ is another way that guests can help school children in this area.
