The Inn
The dining room combines style and, during the day, visual access to the local scenery. Over the years the Inn has established a reputation for the finest cuisine in the Eastern Highlands, with a menu that combines family favourites and unusual exotic dishes. Five-star cuisine with two-star economy. Next door is a cozy pub, a favourite all year round, particularly in winter when roaring log fires add warmth to the chill of the evening air.

Two lounges are available to guests. These are complemented by a superb terrace, overlooking the swimming pool and the gardens below.

The trees attract a huge variety of bird life, as well as the Vumba’s rare samango monkeys. Walks in the garden are rewarding for guests interested in the wonders of nature; a stream passses through the grounds providing the surroundings with a fresh country feel.

Accommodation
There are 6 double-bedded rooms and 4 twin-bedded rooms at the white horse Inn, all with views over the gardens. 1 double-bedded room has shower only, the rest have a bath with shower over. Several of double-bedded rooms can take an extra bed to accommodate children. 2 mini suites, each with a large double bed, lead down a couple of steps to a lounge area and onto a patio and the hotel swimming pool.
The Cottage Suite, which has a lounge with two bedrooms leading off it, one double-bedded and the other with two single beds and a studio with plenty of room for another bed. Both bedrooms have their own private bathroom with shower over bath. The Cottage Suite is very popular with family parties!

Activities
Zimbabwe’s Bvumba mountains, lying to the southeast of Mutare overlooking the plains of Mozambique to the East, are among Southern Africa’s most spectacular natural attractions, offering visitors a range of sights, sounds and experiences quite unlike anywhere else. There are breath-taking views back to Mutare, far into Mozambique, and over coffee plantations and the Burma Valley to the Himalaya and Chimanimani Mountains. Emphasis is placed on obtaining full enjoyment of this environment.

We have several acres of garden with a swimming pool and a rough croquet lawn. The trees attract a huge variety of bird life, as well as monkeys, particularly the Bvumba’s well-known Samangos. Walks in the garden are rewarding for guests interested in the wonders of nature; a stream passes through the grounds, providing the surrounds with a fresh, country feel.

Children
Children are welcome at the Inn and children under 16 years old receive special rates.
